Harris v. Bessent, et al.

Kator, Parks, Weiser & Wright is proud to represent Cathy Harris in her lawsuit against the President regarding the illegal action to terminate her from her federal office. On the evening of February 10, 2025, the White House sent an email to Ms. Harris, who was serving as a Member of the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB). The email purported to terminate Ms. Harris from her position. By federal law, Ms. Harris was placed in her Member position until March 2028, and she could only be fired for cause. The email from the White House cited no cause for the termination action.

On February 11, 2025, Kator Parks filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia challenging the termination action and seeking immediate reversal by the Court.

The attorneys of Kator, Parks, Weiser & Wright are committed to standing up for the rule of law.
